The Rock House All Stars Let it Bleed Revisited: An Ovation from Nashville
Let it Bleed Revisited: An Ovation from Nashville
Back in 2003 an album appeared on Telarc Records. It was various artists covering blues renditions of songs made popular by the Rolling Stones. The vocals were by blues artists including the late Lucky Peterson, Tommy Castro, Tab Benoit, Joe Louis Walker, Jimmy Thackery and the late Deborah Coleman.
It became an underground favorite with guitarist Brian Stoltz, bassist Tommy Shannon and drummer Chris Layton. Now it is tried again. Co-produced by bassist John Heithaus, and Kevin McKendree who plays keyboards, guitar and joins in for the backing vocals. Featured are Rob McNelly, electric and acoustic guitars, and Yates McKendree drums. New arrangements are featured on the songbook with guests including Jimmy Hall, harmonica and Bekka Bramlett vocals, Lee Roy Parnell, and mandolinist James Pennebaker.
Often called the greatest rock ‘n’ roll album of all time. This is a must to add to your list of albums to share. Included are “Love in Vain” and other favorites.
