Rueben Williams – Thunderbird Management Group!
When Rueben Williams founded the Thunderbird Management Group more than 20 years ago, he made it his mission to develop artists and help them create long-lasting careers in the music industry. One of his first clients was the legendary Tab Benoit and for the last 20 years he has guided his career. During this time he has gained a reputation of being the person behind the rapid rise of some of the top blues rooted artists in the industry. Artists like Devon Allman, Samantha Fish, and Mike Zito credit Rueben for the moves that have helped create their careers.
Thunderbird Management Group has also represented such legendary artists as Cyril Neville and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux as well as responsible for the creation of the super group on Ruf Records, Royal Southern Brotherhood! Artists like Anders Osborne, Jonathon Boogie Long and the Honey Island Swamp Band seek Rueben out to help guide them through the music industry!
In addition to artist management, Rueben has also had the opportunity to be involved as executive or associate producer on over 25 records, many of which have been nominated for GRAMMYs® and Blues Music Awards.
If this was not enough, Rueben and Tab Benoit founded the Voice of the Wetlands, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Through VOW’s recordings, festivals, and educational outreach, they hope to bring public awareness to and create solutions for the coastal erosion in southern Louisiana. Part of this outreach occurred in 2006, when Williams and Benoit brought more than 50 New Orleans musicians to perform at the 2006 Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
