No Words Music was an light-bulb idea that occurred to life-long instrumental guitarist, Ann Wood (PerkinsWood) while attending a dftal performance at Georgia State’s New Music Festival in 2022.
She was thinking…. Why are there NO festivals for instrumental music ANYWHERE?
Despite Atlanta’s rich history: Chet Atkins, Glenn Phillips, FLAP and DEW, no one was spotlighting wordless music. Ever since then, NoWordsATL has had a life of its own and continues to grow exponentially.
NoWordsATL 2.0 is December 28th all day at 5 stages: Criminal Records, DBS Sounds, Smith’s Olde Bar and Red Light Café.
NoWordsATL is an annual instrumental music festival that happens between Christmas and New Year’s every year in Atlanta. NoWordsATL2.0 is an All-day trip of talented and diverse instrumental artists (14 bands in 13 hours) coming together for the first time!
Our super-star headliner, Trap Jazz, combines Jazz and Hip-Hop, is featured in the HULU documentary released in August 2023.
CHEW, just returned from a European Tour, offer a TRIP of psychedelic genre bending rock that will blow your mind.
