THE FUTURE OF THE BLUES FOUNDATION

Barbara Newman and Paul Benjamin joined me on this evening.

I wanted to introduce Barbara to the Blues World in a proper forum and live, so the fans and membership could also participate.

Though many know Paul, many others do not, so I also wanted to allow Paul’s background to shine.

Then we all discussed the current state of the foundation, the board and how it really functions and Barbara’s role as President/CEO as it relates to programs and direction.

We also touched on some of the subjects that appeared as part of a thread on Facebook involving the role of the Blues Foundation, the IBC, and the need for more exposure to the general public among other topics.

We also took a number of calls from the listeners.

Throughout the time we spent, I played three songs selected by Barbara and three by Paul and found out why they selected them.
