Matty returned to The Couch and we talked about all the things he has been up to since he last visited. We discussed the songs on the album, SideWinder and their social importance and Matty gave us a glimpse into what will come next.

Ray’s visit was during IBC Previews, so technically, this was his first time on The Couch and we traced his history from Canada to Boston to the army and then the 5 stops he made before settling in Austin, TX 10 years ago. We spoke about a few songs on At King Electric.
JEREMIAH JOHNSON – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Jeremiah has just released Straitjacket on Ruf Records. He and I spoke about how he hooked up with Mike Zito to produce and then Ruf Records came calling. We discussed his documentary and the demons he battled and we explored the music on the new album.
DAMON FOWLER – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC
Damon has a new album, The Whiskey Bayou Sessions, produced by Tab Benoit. It is always a pleasure to chat with Damon. We spoke about the recording of the album, working with Tab, his getting asked to play with Dickie Betts and more while we listened to the music.
