KYLE DEIBLER
Owner of Memphiswest music and an active member of the Colorado Blues Society. Prior to moving to Colorado, Kyle was president of the Phoenix Blues Society for 7 years, produced multiple festivals and leading the society to being recognized as one of the top societies in the country. He was also the venue coordinator at Rum Boogie during the IBC’s.
PETER BLEWZZMAN LAURO
Is partner along with Mary Friesner Roby, and music editor at mary4music.com, which is dedicated to promoting Blues and independent music. Peter has written thousands of album and show reviews over the years, with an emphasis on Blues music. In 2011, the site was honored with the Keeping The Blues Alive Award.
TERRIE ODABI
Out of the Oakland bay area and is a member of The Golden Gate Blues Society. She has represented the society in Memphis the last two years and lit up the stages with her soul-stirring performances. We were able to preview a song from Terrie’s upcoming album ”My Blue Soul”
The discussion touched on a number of items. The good happening in the Blues today, where things should change, the youth and the future of the Blues, streaming music and it’s good and bad, the multiple genres and why there are so many and so much more. We had a number of callers who added their perspectives to the conversation.
