Making a Scene Takes a First look at the Slate Digital All Access Pass
Making a Scene Takes a First Look at the Slate Digital “All Access Pass”!
When a software company announces they will be having a major announcement in the coming days, one of the first things that come into my mind is “How Much is it Going to Cost Me”. I have been a “Everything” bundle subscriber for about 2 years now, and I will be honest, the Slate Plugin Suite has become integral part of my mixing workflow (see Review of the Slate Everything Bundle). So when Slate Digital sent out the announcement that “Everything Will Change on 6/18/2019” I was apprehensive and excited at the same time.
For the most part, in the past the addition of a new plugin did not come with much fanfare. You would get an email that a new plugin was available for you to download or Gobbler would inform you there was an update to your plugin suite. But this was different, this was a bold attempt at creating a buzz within the Everything Bundle user base.
Everything Has Changed!
To say everything has changed is pretty much an understatement. The Everything Bundle has become the “All Access Pass“! The best part of this announcement, beside the major additions, is the fact that the price of $14.99 (or $149 a year) a month is not going to change! You can still even use their start and stop plan at $25 a month.
This, to me, is a big plus! This is the perfect price point for both the home studio owner as well as the professional studio. For Steven Slate to expand this suite and not have a price increase is a testament to Slate Digital’s commitment to delivering a great innovative products at a competitive price. So let’s take a look at what you get with this new All Access Pass:

Conclusion:
As I stated in the beginning the slate bundle has been an important part of my workflow in the studio. With this new transition from the Everything Bundle to the All Access Pass I believe that it will remain one of the most important plugin suites in my collection! When you start doing the numbers (They don’t call it the Music “BUSINESS” for nothing). If you add up the cost of what you are getting in this All Access Pass at $149 a year (or $14.99 a month on a month by month basis) It would take me over 33 years to pay off what this Access Pass Gives me NOW! This does not take into account the cost of upgrading the existing plugins along the way! You can add another 20 years to that number. To me the All Access Pass just makes economic sense.
The new KiloHearts Multipass, Snapheap with the Slate presets, on first look is a unique new way of looking at processing audio and places an unbelievable amount of power at your fingertips with a low processor drain and simple easy to use interface. Top this off with the ANA 2 Synth and Access to the over 200 videos in the Slate Academy, not to mention the original Slate Plugins makes this one of the best deals around for the home studio as well as the professional engineer/producer.
This is a well rounded and comprehensive suite that not only gives you the tools to create great audio but also gives you all the resources that will help educate you on the best way to use those tools with real world examples taught by some of the industries most respected producers and engineers.
