Making a Scene Presents Gerry Casey’s Interview with Christine Ries of Circuitrex
In this interview the Melbourne base powerful rock / Metal trio fronted by Christine Ries tells the story of how over a period of time the band found its true identity a energetic three piece metal rock band ready to make some waves in the music scene.Another interview you will not want to miss!
Melbourne trio Circuitrex has a classic metal and rock influenced heart of gritty riffs, emphatic with molten clean vocals that burn through catchy melodies. The female-fronted Circuitrex masters a joyful rock and metal about sorrowful subjects, death, mysterious murders, and anthems for the journey. With a live rock background, friends Christine Ries, Leigh Spahic and Michael Edwards tore into writing for Circuitrex in 2019, developing a signature riff driven metal influenced by DIO, Soundgarden and Anthrax. The energetic Circuitrex is a leaf from the same tree as Battlebeast, Blues Pills and Diamante.
Michael held down the bass for Australian rock legend Kevin Borich, appearing on Totem (2014) and touring with drummers John Watson (James Reyne, Rose Tattoo, Renee Geyer), Paul Wheeler (Icehouse, Primary) and Lucius Borich (COG). Leigh is a kicking guitarist who produced and recorded Kevin Borich throughout the 2000s. Christine is a live performer across rock, metal, jazz and soul; and all three band members are originally from Brisbane.
