Making a Scene Presents an Interview with Brad “Guitar” Wilson

Cali Bee Music is excited to announce that Brad “Guitar” Wilson released his new album, Lovers Before Sunrise, on April 7, 2023. Produced by Quincy Jones’ engineer and Grammy-award winning producer Francis Buckley, with radio and publicity handled by the very successful and world renown Betsie Brown and Blind Raccoon Promotions, this 14 song collection is anticipated to be a #1 Blues Rock album.

The album has already produced two #1 songs on radio charts in Brad’s home state of California with “Black Coffee At Sunrise” and “I’m Ready.” The album is currently on all worldwide charts in the Top 30 albums played on independent radio.

The album’s release is presented with an international tour with shows in Belgium, The Netherlands, Austin, Texas and Los Angeles, California. Songs on the new album include Wilson originals with stunning guitar work on blues classics, “Sunshine Of Your Love” (Cream) and “I’m Ready” (Muddy Waters).

An international guitarist/singer /songwriter, Wilson achieved the #1 USA Blues Rock album in July 2022. The first single, “Tales Of Brave Ulysses,” also charted at #1. This worldwide smash album, Brad ‘Guitar” Wilson, had four additional songs charting in the top 20 blues rock songs. The album, a collection of original songs and blues classics, also charted in the Top 20 most played radio albums in the UK and Australia.

Wilson has toured numerous times with the legendary band, Chicago. He has become known as a modern hot guitar player who can entertain the house with the best of them. Considered more than a talented and charismatic guitarist by his audience, Wilson is an exciting entertainer. His performances have made him a stand-out hit at countless shows. Wilson’s live show is presented with spirit and class.

Already a five-album-charting hit maker on worldwide radio, he scored his first U.S. #1 movie track with the song, “Teaser,” from John Carpenter’s film, Vampires, a collaboration with producers, The Robb Brothers. Other major accomplishments include his television songs featured on CBS and NBC.

Wilson’s record, called Brad “Guitar”’ Wilson, climbed to the #1 album in the USA on the Roots Music Report’s Blues Rock top 20 albums in just three weeks!! The first single, “Tales Of Brave Ulysses,” also charted as the #1 song in the Top 20. This worldwide smash album is near the top of other charts as well: the Blues charts most played songs on the radio in California, and it has four additional songs charting in the top 20 blues songs. The Brad “Guitar” Wilson album also charted in the Top 20 most played radio albums in the UK and Australia.

The songs are being played on dozens of radio shows around the world. We’re very excited about the success of this album, a collection of original songs, including blues classics. The record is being supported by tour dates in the United States and Europe.

With the April 2023 release of Wilson’s follow up to his #1 Blues Rock album, three weeks of shows are booked in four countries in Europe, including the UK. Brad toured Europe in May and October of 2022, including shows in Paris and Brussels. He completed his first European tour of the Netherlands in 2019. 2023 will also include his much anticipated debut in Austin, Texas, for shows at Austin’s premiere night clubs.

In September, 2022, Brad again opened four California shows for the iconic band, Chicago. As a special guest, he has been on stage at sold-out arena shows throughout California, entertaining several thousand people at each concert. Brad has toured numerous times with the band. It’s always very exciting!

Brad recorded his Lovers Before Sunrise record, working with the best West Coast musicians at the famous MIT studios in Hollywood. This album is being produced by legendary producer Francis Buckley (Quincy Jones Alanis Morissette, Aerosmith). This stellar guitar album drops April 7th 2023. The music industry leading publicity/promotion executive, Betsie Brown, and her company Blind Raccoon Promotions will present the album world wide to radio and print media. The record label, Cali Bee Music, will distribute it to all digital music purchase points as well as manufacture CDs for sale to stores.

During 2020 and in 2021, Brad built a streaming show called “The Californian.” The 30-minute weekly show became a hit and introduced him to a new audience worldwide. Brad’s hot electric guitar solo work and his in-depth acoustic guitar playing entertained viewers with both songwriting and singing. With five albums and now this chart success, the shows featured songs from a deep catalog.
