Elizabeth King Living In The Last Days
Living In The Last Days
Bible & Tire Recording Co.
After a terrible car accident King was told she would never walk again and so she has since pledged herself to the Lord. Elizabeth King, primarily recorded singles, but she quit recording Sacred Soul in the mid-seventies to raise her fifteen children.
Producer and Impresario of Bible and Tire Records, Bruce Watson says although it’s been fifty years, it’s almost like her voice had been frozen in time.
Watson chose the songs from the classic catalogs of D-Vine Spirituals and Designer Records. King is backed by guitarists Will Sexton and Matt Ross- Spang; and the rhythm section of bassist Mark Stuart, and George Spuppick, drums. Other players include Al Gamble the organist from St. Paul and The Broken Bones; Rick Steff, organ; pianist William Graves; and the horn section of Art Edmaiston and Jim Spake. Also featured are vocalists Chris and Courtney Barnes, The Vaughn Sisters, and the D-Vine Spiritualettes.
Check out King, who is just marvelous.
