Making a Scene Presents an Interview with JD Taylor!
JD Taylor grew up in Brownsville TN. never dreaming that at age 30 a gift of a harmonica would change his life forever. In just 3 short years of writing songs practicing harmonica, hanging out on Beale Street and and catching all the greats traveling through Memphis, he knew it was time to make his move.
His journey would start in 1995 with his group Little Boys Blue’s first studio album that showcased JD’s original material. Around 1996 he met Carl Perkins and was invited to play some gigs to support his new book Go Cat Go….as his musical journey continued throughout the years, .JD would find himself gigging with the likes of RL Burnside, Big Jack Johnson, Honey Boy Edwards just to name a few…. Four studio albums and 27 years later JD is about to release his new 2020 solo debut album titled The Cold Sessions on the Vizztone Label.
This album features all original tracks recorded at the infamous Zebra Ranch Studios with some of today’s best touring blues musicians. Be watching and listening for the announcement of the release set for early August 2020!!!!
