Making a Scene Presents an Interview with Don Ender
The band is based around singer and guitarist Don Ender who interprets American root music in all its different forms. They Stamp it with their own brand on the music: From blues to Americana to Southern Rock puts the sound of the American South on stage.
With “Southwards” they present the debut album produced by blues mastermind Timo Gross live. In each bluesy riff you can feel the heat of the dusty country roads and the endless sky of the south. The listener feels like being in a roadhouse somewhere in the distance between Nashville and New Orleans.
When front man Don Ender takes the stage with his band, it starts with a concentrated, vigorous charge of uncompromising and gripping Southern Rock to the listener shortly afterwards with a Deep downhome blues on a backporch in the Louisiana swamps – here, where the slide guitar only accompanied by the chirping of the crickets. The band’s musical facets range from heavy, earthy Mid-tempo shuffles and driving blues rockers to bluesy, acoustic gems.
The Don Ender Band captivates the audience with a passionate, gripping show. With catchy melodies, groovy rhythms and sharp guitar solos, it remains rough and robust, always down to earth and with a lot of soul in the voice.
Don Ender has been touring as a local hero with his band in the Rhine-Neckar Delta since 2013, and now to start nationally with his first album “Southwards”. He already shared the stage with colleagues like Ali Neander, Victor Smolski, Andy Susemihl or Timo Gross. As an organizer and musical director of the “Night of Guitars” he is from the cultural life of the Rhine-Neckar It is impossible to imagine deltas without them.
