Panelists included Musician, Tas Cru, VP River City Management, Carson Lamm and BMI Executive Jeff Syracuse. The conversation revolved around the reasons BMI (and ASCAP & SECAN) do what they do and how the collection of music royalties is important. How musicians can take advantage of thes eorganizations to find additional revenue streams and why venues should not fight the fight and become a member of the organizations. Along the way, some falsehoods were discussed and in some cases, put to rest.
