Making a Scene Presents an interview with Scotty Dennis!
Scotty Dennis is a Blues artist from Kansas City, Missouri. He comes from a talented musical family with a deep back ground in Gospel music. He has been addicted to the Blues since he was 4 years old, when his uncle would sneak him into clubs to hear the music. His mom taught him how to sing with timing, feeling and from the heart. Singing in church all of his life not only allowed him to learn to sing lead but harmonize and be able to sing any kind of style.
With this knowledge and ability, it has allowed him to share the stage with some of the world’s most talented musicians and singers. Such as Hamilton Loomis, Buddy Guy, BB King, Joe Bonamassa, Trampled Under Foot, etc. He has also helped local artist get their start and move on to a bigger career. Starting out his professional career, as a backup singer he grew his talent and craving for success.
After a few years he joined a band called the All Nighters, that was later changed to Scotty & The Soul Tones. With the Soul Tones they released several albums with much success. I’ll Be Waiting went to number 3 on the blues charts. Scotty has traveled the world singing and flying the banner for the blues. His stage presence and charisma always have the crowd in the palm of his hands.
So after over 20 years with the Soul Tones, Scotty has decided to go solo. This side of his career will be bigger and better than anything that has happened in the past. With the new album Back To The Blues, Scotty will be again hitting the road to bring his performances to the world. Be prepared to get Scottified!
