It’s the 4th of July weekend! Let freedom ring! And go out and listen to some blues! Here are the places to choose from this weekend:

Friday

Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials are at Blind Willie’s. Skye Paige comes to Fat Matt’s Rib Shack and Northside Tavern has Swami and Dave from  6-8 pm, followed by Wasted Potential. The Soul Circus Cowboys are at MoonShadow Tavern in Tucker and Hank Bird and the Borderline Band visit Gypsy Rose Music in Roswell and DynaGroove is at Full Throttle Roadhouse in  Mableton. The Night Howlers are at  Maxwell’s Cigar Bar in Woodstock and Bill Sheffield is at The Century House Tavern in, Woodstock. The Mike Watson Band visits Doc’s in Smyrna and The Breeze Kings are at  7 pm at Reformation Brewery/. Kitty Rose & the Rattlers are at The Star Bar.

Saturday

Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials are at Blind Willie’s and Mr. Chapman’s Quarterly Revues is at Fat Matt’s. Cody Matlock is at Northside Tavern and The Way Back Band is at Full Throttle Roadhouse in Mableton. Slim Chance & the Convicts are at MoonShadow Tavern and The Mike Watson Band comes to Doc’s, in Smyrna. The Breeze Kings are at  Gypsy Rose Music in Roswell and Frankie’s Blues Mission is at Maxwell’s Cigar Bar in Woodstock. The Larry Griffith Band is at The Painted Duck and Mudcat & Sam Aranson are at Waller’s Coffee Shop in Decatur.

Sunday

Brandon Reeves performs at 6:30 pm at Blind Willie’s. Swami and Dave perform from 6-8:30 pm, followed by  Uncle Sugar at Northside Tavern. Freedom Concert from  noon-8 pm at Full Throttle Roadhouse featuring Soul Circus Cowboys, JB Walker, and The Chea The Southern Soul Breakout Music Fest takes place in Lithonia at Lithonia Amphitheater,.featuring J. Red (The Nephew), Angel Faye Russell, Shirley Diamond, Nigel Perkins, Jesse James, D.C. Soul & The Soul Patrol, Willie Hill, Black Zack, Tina P, and Uncle E.
