How lucky we are this week to have visitors like Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite and The Taj Mahal Trio with our own Jontavious Willis opening! Add to them our own amazing local musicians and you have a weekend full of blues potential. Get out and have some fun!
Friday
Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite are ar The Tabernacle. George Hughley with Shirley Diamond & The Shadows is at Blind Willie’s and Jive Revival is at Darwin’s in Sandy Springs. Beverly “Guitar” Watkins comes to Fat Matt’s Rib Shack. Ike Stubblefield is at Northside Tavern and The Mike Watson Band is at Doc’s Food and Spirits in Smyrna. The Barry Richman Band is at Nik’s Place in Marietta and Soulhound is at Tunes By The Tracks in Stone Mountain.
Saturday
The Taj Mahal Trio with Jontavious Willis opening happens at Byers Theatre / Sandy Springs Performing Arts. Darwin’s has Katie Martin’s Open Mc in the afternoon followed by The Rainmen at night and Sandra Hall & the Shadows are at Blind Willie’s and Frankie’s Blues Mission is at Fat Matt’s. Ross Pead performs from 6-9 pm, followed by Tribute at Northside Tavern. The Mike Watson Band is Docs Food and Spirits in Smyrna. New Dirt is at Big Tex in Decatur. The Larry Griffith Duo is at GC BBQ in Canton and Mudcat w/ the Atlanta Horns are at Matilda’s in Alpharetta. The Larry Griffith Band is at The Painted Duck and The Rebirth Brass Band is at Smith’s Olde Bar.
Sunday
10,000 Pontiac is at Fat Matt’s and Swamii is followed by Uncle Sugar at Northside Tavern. There’s a Gospel Lunch with Mandi Strachota at Darwin’s. Little G Weevil Powerhouse Trio is at The Smoke Ring Fest at 5pm
