PREVIEW SHOW # 2 for the 34th IBC
- JANICE JOHNSTON
Dr. Janice is a member of The Blues Foundation Board of Directors with responsibilities for The H.A.R.T. Fund (Handy Artist Relief Trust). For the last six years, Dr. Janice and her incredible volunteer staff have held Health Clinic at the IBC (and the BMAs). Dr. Janice described the tests you will receive for FREE… plus we spoke about the H.A.R.T. Fund in general…it is a great thing they do.
VENUE COORDINATOR ROUNDTABLE – Segment Begins At The 38:00 Mark
Venue Coordinators. These are the folks who run the individual venues…they are the law! I spoke with Sandy McCann, Treasurer of the Ozark Blues Society; David Hughes, President of the Spa City Blues Society and Tony Frederickson, President of The Washington Blues Society. These three have run venues for years, and they shared their experiences, their advice and more.
Unfortunately we had a mis-connect with Joe Whitmer. But Sandy, David Tony and I discussed some of the subject matter.
SONGS PLAYED:
NATHAN JAMES – HEAR ME CALLING – “BABY WHERE DID YOU GO”
MR SIPP – KNOCK A HOLE IN IT – “KNOCK A HOLE IN IT”
DAVE KEYES – THE HEALING – “BOX OF BLUES”
