Music on the Couch 7/14 – Bob Eike, Carolyn Fe, Peter Novelli, Michael Packer
Last night on Music on The Couch…
First my friend, Mick Kolassa came by to give us a final update on the Oxford Blues Festival happening later this week
Then Bob Eike came out of his basement to talk to us about his career and the new album “happy little songs of futility & despair” (and we hope he stays out of the basement for good now!)
Carolyn Fe called in from Montreal with the new album, “Bad Taboo” from The Carolyn Fe Blues Collective and to talk about her astonishing life – this woman is multi-talented
Next … and this was HUGE Kiddies..Peter Novelli called in from the road and shared with us FOUR Pre-mastered songs from his upcoming album “The St Amant Sessions”. This album will NOT BE OUT until October, but we got to hear some brilliant music last night from this artist from New Orleans. This was a great honor and I thank Peter from the bottom of my heart and soul.
And finally, one of the most honest, gritty musicians on the scene today, Michael Packer joined me to talk about Volume 2 of “I Am The Blues, My Story” – This guy just loves everything about the Blues and does whatever is necessary to expose people to the music of the blues.
