Jack Mack’s sweet and funky soul music has earned a critically acclaimed thirty year legacy of success in the music business that includes: seven records, blockbuster movie soundtracks, and hundreds of global television and stage performances.
The band is thrilled to say they are releasing a new album entitled, “Back To The Shack.” This record combines their strong American Soul roots with the classic sound and traditions of the Blues. The players include Jack Mack’s World Class horn section, “The Heart Attack Horns” plus one of New Orleans’ favorite sons, Mark Campbell, on lead vocals. Additionally, the band members have performed, recorded or written for: Rod Stewart, Greg Allman, No Doubt, Stevie Wonder, The Eagles, Elvis Costello, Robert Cray, Keb Mo, Natalie Cole, Bobby Womak, Glenn Frey, James Brown and hundreds more. Other notables who lent their talents to the recording include legendary B3 player, Mike Finnigan, (Bonnie Raitt, Crosby Stills & Nash, Taj Mahal, Jimi Hendrix), Grammy winning producer, Tony Braunagel on drums, and Melanie Taylor (Aerosmith, John Mayer). The new LP is slated for a March 2016 release and is currently being mixed by Grammy award winning producer, Howard Benson. This album is the follow up to their 2014 EP entitled, “Lookin’ Up” produced by Grammy award winning producer, Tom Hambridge for SuperStar Records.
