6th Annual Bradenton Blues Festival, December 2nd, 2017.
The Bradenton Blues Festival is now in its sixth year. Produced by Paul Benjamin and Johnette of Realize Bradenton, this year’s festival featured high profile artists. The relatively new but talented Brody Buster played between sets. This year’s festival was sold out two weeks prior to the event.
Sean Chambers toured with the legendary Hubert Sumlin from 1998 – 2003. Chambers continues to grow as a musician and recently released his sixth album “Trouble and Whiskey” on the American Showplace Music label.
Vanessa Collier just released her second album “Meeting My Shadow” and received a 2017 Blues Music Award nomination as Best Instrumentalist – Horn.
Nick Moss has received a total of twenty-one Blues Music Award nominations including three in 2017 for his latest album “From the Roots to the Fruits”. The newest member of The Nick Moss Band is Dennis Gruenling who was nominated for his own Blues Music Award as 2017 Best Instrumentalist – Harmonica.
Chubby Carrier is a Grammy winner from Lafayette Louisiana. He has ten recordings to his credit and is a regular at The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
The Grammy winning Sugar Blue is most famous for playing on three Rolling Stones albums and on the song “Miss You”. He has been nominated for seventeen Blues Music Awards. His latest album is 2016’s “Voyage”.
Curtis Salagado has been nominated for sixteen Blues Music Awards and won eight times. He is the 2013 Entertainer of The Year. His latest album is 2016’s “The Beautiful Lowdown”.
Joe Louis Walker has been nominated for fifty-six Blues Music Awards having won five times. He is the 1988, 1991, and 2016 Contemporary Blues Male Artist of The Year.
The 2018 Bradenton Blues Festival weekend is scheduled for November 30th, December 1st, and December 2nd. For the first time tickets will go on sale in January. See you next year.
